    • Much of the approaches used by the counselors with the students either in the classroom,1-1, or in small groups complement the school-wide growth mindset thinking and language program as well as learning what and how it is to be mindful.

    Individual and Group Counseling
    • We provide counseling services for students individually or in small groups.

    • Students may be referred by parents or teachers.

    Parental permission is needed for services.

    • Individual students may be seen for variety of reasons, such as, but not limited to, anxiety, peer

    • issues, divorcing parents, self-esteem issues, and managing conflicts.

    • Small group counseling services give students the opportunity to learn and practice friendship skills.

    • They focus on how to make and keep friends, and how to get along with others. They also teach students how to communicate effectively and be successful in school. As counselors, we help students learn about anxiety and how to manage it as well as understand conflicts and how to deal with them.
